ABOUT THE COFFEE: Grown on high elevation hills of Western Ghats is also one the of the oldest coffee estates in India. Baba Budan was a 16th-century Sufi, whose shrine is at Baba Budangiri, Chikkamagalur, Karnataka, India. He is said to have introduced the coffee plant to India by bringing seven raw beans from the port of Mecca, Yemen while coming back from Hajj.
ALTITUDE: This 100% Arabica Coffee grows at an altitude of 1200 mt. The altitude at which a bean is grown has an affect on the beans flavor. Coffee grown at higher elevations tends to be of higher quality, and with that high quality comes more complex flavor notes than coffee grown at lower elevations.
