Our Story: Silkrute
Silkrute is a cross-border eCommerce platform connecting over 1 million global buyers with 20K Indian vendors to access authentic, artistic Indian products worldwide. We aim to deliver the authenticity of India to every corner of the world without the hassle of border restrictions.
How We Started?
Recognizing that people abroad appreciate Indian products but often face limited availability, we started in 2016 to provide them with greater access to Authentic Indian products, unrestricted by geography.
Just as the ancient Silk Route connected various countries through trade, we dreamed of building SILKRUTE as a modern bridge that connects Indian heritage to every person around the world, whether an Indian or a Foreigner.
We aim to deliver authentic Indian products to anyone, anywhere in the world, without any inconvenience or compromise at unbeatable prices.
We scaled, and this overall idea gave rise to Silkrute.com, a cross-border e-commerce marketplace that covered a wide range of Indian-rich products. This enabled us to overcome the challenge of making Indian things accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world.
Our goal is to provide high-quality experiences for both our customers and sellers.
