Hydrate the Cocopeat. Cocopeat usually comes as a dry block or loose powder, and needs water to expand. How to do it: Place the cocopeat in a large container or bucket. Add water slowly. Let it soak for 15–30 minutes until it fluffs up. Rinse it apart with your hands or a tool if needed.
Remove Excess Salts (Optional but Recommended) Sometimes cocopeat contains salts (especially if it's not pre-washed). You can flush it: Rinse the expanded cocopeat with fresh water. Let the water drain completely. Repeat 2–3 times to reduce salt content.
Mix with Other Growing Media (Optional) Cocopeat is great, but for best results, mix it with Perlite/ Sand or Compost/Vermicompost
