I bought the 3-year-old package for my 3-year-old son. The package includes reading a book about growing plants and a seed planting activity package among other things. Basically, I had to do the activity for myself, because I couldn't capture my child's attention. The package is for maybe 5-year-olds. So it depends on how developed your child is cognitively. For a playful and active 3-year-old, I think this package is useless. Sorry!
