Sebamed baby bar has ph of 5. 5 And sugar based mild cleanser. Other baby soaps have ph greater 7 which leads to barrier damage. When baby is born skin ph is 7. The acid mantle which protects the baby's delicate skin takes a few weeks to 3 months to develop the ph of skin then becomes 5. 5. At ph 5. 5 Alone the skin's protective barrier remains intact. It has been clinically proven that only at ph 5. 5 The lipid and moisture loss is minimum and the growth of pathogenic bacteria is restricted. Sebamed baby bar is free from irritants and hence has 0 percent incidences of irritant reactions. Sebamed baby bar contains botanical ingredient hence the reported incidence of allergic reaction is 0. 000003 Percent. I have been using this soap since last 7 months. I am reviewing late as I wanted to make my views clear about the product before reviewing it.I am a 30plus lady. Suffering from dry and hyper sensitive skin from last 20 yrs .so to calm my sensitive skin ,I use only baby products. I was in search of a baby cleanser which has the ability to clean mature skin also and at last I found it. This soap is not only awesome for babies but also does wonders on dry sensitive mature skin . It is actually healing my face dryness and sensitive too. Cleans the face very nicely but mildly too. My rashes problem is totally gone.?? skin has become glowy and problem free . A big thanks to this wonderful soap. As it is very mild and soft on skin ,it melts quickly , so I never keep the soap in the bathroom. I always keep it in a dry place. It is not too foamy but creamy in texture .One soap easily goes for one month if you carefully handle it . Now my skin as well as I am tension free??

I use this soap myself. It is actually 100% soap free, and will hardly dry out your skin. This cleansing bar has a pH value of 5.5, like almost the entire range of Sebamed products. Not all pH 5.5 products are created equal--I have also tried Cetaphil bar soap, and it dried out my skin quite badly. Also unlike other baby soaps, Sebamed cleansing bar will not lose its shape very easily. You do not have to go out of your way or take any special precautions. Just leave it in a soap dish after using it, and the next day it will be just like new. You should be aware that Sebamed cleansing bar will not lather as much as other soaps. There is some lather, however, and you get used to this rather quickly. If you expect your soap to give you a squeaky-clean feeling, this actually means you are in fact stripping away your acid mantle. There has been a large volume of research on the importance of the acid mantle. Sebamed cleansing bar helps develop and preserve your skin's acid mantle. Thus, not getting that squeaky-clean feeling from this cleansing bar is indeed a good thing. Are you looking for a glow to your skin? This soap will provide that. A pH value of 5.5 matches that of the natural pH value of your skin, and has a host of benefits. If you have any form of dermatitis (such as the minor skin condition seborrheic dermatitis), this soap will combat that. In addition, if you get small, pimple-like whiteheads on your knees, the front of your thighs, or upper arms (a mild skin problem called keratosis pilaris), Sebamed cleansing bar, with lactic acid as one of its ingredients, will treat and help prevent this problem from occurring in the future. Sebamed cleansing bar has a very mild fragrance that disappears quickly. The only downside of this soap is the price, which really burns a hole in your pocket. This soap is being imported from Germany, and hence is subject to import tariffs. It feel like a normal soap but the main thing is it does not hurt or causes any pain to the babies eyes which is really a good thing. The only thing is it is too expensive than many other baby soaps.
