I have large tea mugs that I got in the US that are 10cm across, so with these wings on the side, it fits those mugs. The mesh holes are small enough that big particles won't go thru, but you can't use "dust" or powder in it. It cleans ok. It takes a minute to get all the pieces out, but I just rise it under cold water....no soap needed. The quality is good. I use it several times per day, and there are no signs of wear after a month.
