While this might be perfect for some and not-a-big-deal for others, it is not ok for me.I have a 5-litre aluminium pressure cooker that I use with two (one for the dal, other for rice) or three (potatoes, beans) stainless steel separators. Living alone, I have no issue of quantity and the 16 x 4 cm separators do just fine.The reason I wanted a bigger one was that my current cooker has inner lid and stacking three separators with a lid for each, with the grid already at the bottom, becomes a juggler’s show to get going.This is a 5-litre one but unfortunately hardly taller than the one I use. It’s wide. So, for those looking for quantity this would do great. With an outer lid, stacking three separators is not an issue as the “angling” of the lid we have to do for inner ones is not in the play.Since my issue was stacking three separators easily, this could have done just as fine. It doesn’t.First, as it is wide (4 cm wider, to be exact, than my current one), the small diameter separators can and do move around inside, messing up the contents as they can slant more than 45 degrees when you place it on the heat.Being careful works but that’s not all.Second, being steel, it is not as good a conductor of heat as aluminium and takes about 20% longer than the latter to cook. For instance, the first whistle on aluminium one sounds after like five minutes at 1500 watts on my induction cooktop (it did in three when it was new, set flat on the cooktop, and the sandwich bottom was not a convex (now the contact area is limited to slightly off-centre, for like three or less centimetres—another reason to get a new one), as induction cooktops make aluminium ones, including hard anodised ones, bulge over time (if yours was said to be flat and turned out to be raised in the centre, you didn’t get a new one or got one that didn’t pass the QC, was rejected, but still ended up with the seller who sold it to you). This takes close to seven. I reduce the heat to 300 watts after the first whistle and since where I live the water is hard and I don’t use baking soda to help the dal to dissolve faster, I let six more before turning the heat off. This one rushes the remaining whistles within a span of nest 5–6 minutes: the result is semi-cooked dal that doesn’t dissolve fully.With this new knowledge, I let it go for nine whistles next day. The result? Same.I don’t know if it’s ok for the lid to rotate easily even as pressure builds up inside or not because this is my first experience with a clip-on. I doubt that the pressure ever so slowly keeps leaking (probably the blown up ones mentioned in a few reviews here with images did not leak any pressure), allowing the dal to remain adamant.This is not a good option for me as I prefer fully dissolved dal. I don’t like multilayer dal, with semi-soft grains at the bottom, water in the middle, and tempering on top.So, while this might be perfect for some and not-a-big-deal for others, it is not ok for me.

It is a superb product easy to use pressure lid fits perfevtly just got it yesterday. Tried it. Its very esy to use the pressure lids can be just put on i dont have yo match the grovves. Also I ordered the stainless steel version 5 litres as it is a safe option for indian cooking as metals dont see into food and cause health problems im happy with my purchse. After readibg the review i found many people hve problem with steam seeping out from the lid so i have to test it
