Each pressure cooker made by Hawkins features an inside fitting lid. This design is inherently safer than conventional pressure cookers. To open any Hawkins cooker, you have to first lower the lid slightly into the body of the cooker; and that cannot be done until the steam pressure inside the cooker falls to a safe level. Thus Hawkins pressure cookers are pressure-locked for safety - like a jetliner door!

I had a fear on buying, hence lot of negative reviews, but after cooking it's seems no issues no worries. Use sufficient amount of water, don't overload amount of food. Even keeping food in it also cook food after gas is off, adjust time accordingly to save gas, you can turn off gas even before food completely cooked, hence heat will retain for longer time. You may feel lower volume when compared with aluminum. Only issue is take more gas compared with aluminum. Overall satisfied.

Which Hawkins has also created. I hope that in future I will get a 5 liter Triply cooker from Hawkins.

Everything was good until I washed the pressure cooker….the edges inside were quite sharp which was not expected from a brand like Hawkins…..got a sharp cut on my finger due to that…..
