Prestige Omega Deluxe Granite Fry Pan with Lid, 260mm,Black I just opened the delivery package to check the item and below are my views about SIlkrute and with the product: This item is an open box item, may be returned by someone. The components inside the box were not even put properly thus pushing the item a bit outside the original box. No seal or even a basic plastic tape was used to cover the openings of the manufacturer's box. SIlkrute should put a label like "Open Box Item" in the product page so that customers know what they are getting. It has been a trend these days for SIlkrute to sell all sorts of open box and/or defective products to customers. Since SIlkrute started deliveries to my location after the lock down, this is the third such open box items I have received. Didn't return them as the products did what they are supposed to do. But this item takes things to a whole new level. The plastic black knob used to lift the lid when cooking is set inside the glass rather than the outside. Don't know how this was not caught by Prestige who doesn't sell kitchen utensils cheap. If I accept this design and use it the way it is designed, I'll do some irreparable damage to my hands within minutes of cooking. I'm uploading 2 pictures to demonstrate the above design. In the first picture (which is the ideal way of putting the lid to cover the pan), you can see my hands holding the knob from inside (the surface that actually stays inside the pan). In the second picture, if I want to keep the knob outside , I'll have to put the glass lid upside down which defeats the sole purpose of buying a pan with a lid. The stainless steel part of the lid you see in the picture should stay inside the pan hidden from the user when in use. I could have bought some cheap cast iron pan and used some aluminium or stainless plate/lid lying in the kitchen instead of going with a frying pan with a dedicated lid and knob, which actually is helpful when dealing with very hot surfaces. I'm initiating a return immediately. SIlkrute India, their sellers and some manufacturers should take note of these findings and make sure their customers get the product they paid for. Just don't try to shove anything you like down to the customer's throat. keep doing jobs like this, I'll be very much happy to put my money into someone else's pockets.

I liked the base for now, it feels smooth and seems strong. there is no leeching or any kind of visible damage. I'm also taking care of the product as much as one would take care of a nonstick product, even though this is supposed to be a stronger product. The one gripe i have with this product is the quality of the plastics being used. The lid has become useless for me, as the washer like part is so bad in quality that it cracked when fitting the knob and it cracked in three places. Almost like it disintegrated with the slightest squeeze. Attaching pics as well. Pan is good quality, handle is holding till now Lid glass seems good Lid knob plastic and the washer plastic is pathetic as it has already disintegrated. overall good product if i wanted an open pan, however, this product is supposed to be a covered glass and that is useless.
