I am writing this review after daily use of kadhai for one month.It’s a very good quality kadhai, suitable for veg non veg both. Prefer to cook on medium heat, else food might stick or even get burn if kept on high for dry items,"Mostly I cooked gravy items all kinds of sabji n non veg, n for dry items more oil is required n sometimes a splash of water to avoid burning of food if using less oil. Even if food sticks at times, it’s very easy to clean n looks as new.The trick is never to put Hawkins kadhaii on high heat as soon as u put on gas stove, add oil n then heat properly.I feel happy to replace aluminum kadhai with this one.Good enough for 4-5ppl.Handle is sturdy.Lid is awesome.Cooks food faster , I have cooked chicken egg curry in 1spoon of oilCompared to other kadhai I prefer this one coz of wooden handle also which is quiet helpful. Hawkins is Hawkins!!

It’s a wonderful product wat Hawkins has launched. It’s very sturdy and heavy, easy to clean and looks beautiful. Must have in every kitchen. I’ve thrown away my nonstick cookware and sticking on to these cookware.Do not use steel spatula else it will leave a mark. Use a regular sponge to clean but not a metal sponge.Use it on medium flame.Never wash it in a dishwasher. Hand cleaning is the best for these cookware. It’s mentioned in the instruction manual.Do not forget to register the product on the Hawkins website. U just need to enter the code which is printed on the warranty card and your details. They will mail the warranty on the email u provide.

It may not be as fancy looking as compared to other brands like Vinod/Bergner, but due to its low key appearance it blends well with other utensils in the kitchen.I have been using it for more than a week, and i had forgotten to season it as well but inspite of that error, no incidents of sticking were found. All one has to do is keep the flame at low/medium, so yes one has to have some patience and can't cook in a hurry. Also, its quite heavy so elderly folks at home will complain handling it, but guess with 3 layers, this can't be avoided. It also cooks more uniformly than other aluminium kadai's, so food tastes better...Cleaning is somewhat difficult, the remains of food tend to stick, one has to soak it for sometime in hot water to remove it. Also, there already are oil stains around the rivets which i can't remove with dishwashing fluids.As per the manual its also not recommended to be put into dishwasher, so that's another point to keep in mind.So, besides cleaning issues, great piece of utensil to have in the kitchen at a very reasonable price compared to the competition

The kadai is of the right size.. apt depth for any type of cooking.. be in shallow fry or deep fry ...Spreads heat uniformly n doest burn ...The handles give a nice grip n helps transfer the content without having to search for a holder or a clothThe lid is quiet heavy..Overall the kadai is sturdy n can also be used as a serve ware

Positive comments-Very sturdy, super product.Negative comments-Costlier compared to competitorsDesign modifications suggested-The handles are horizontal and are protruding taking lot of space. I t shall be at anangle like your competitors-The lid should be provided with a removable plug so that it will not jump out when use it for cooking. lid without an exit hole for steam is not useful cooking with the lid on the kadhai. So lid is not worth its price

Product is good and sturdy. quality is good. food doesn't stick. but could have been extra deep for making it suitable for Indian cooking. Mustard and other ingredients splutters all over the countertop while tempering. it is very shallow and can be used for dry roasting and cooking without tempering. Can go for it definitely..

The picture show 26.1cm of 2.5 liters. What I received was 24 cm. Was not useful and I returned. Description was confusing.
