Updating review after using it for 6 months. It is easy to clean but silicon ring/gasket started deteriorating as it turns black. For smaller box it is broken so, it is of no use. The lid got cracked near the lock position. The other down part is that the 2 out of 6 lock pieces come off often. This seems to be a manufacturing defect. Good it was provided with extra piece of lock.Better to go for other options.

The side locks are very tight and dont close properly.. I bought two. For one the plastic side broke in 3-4 days.. Not happy ??

This is a superb, stainless steel body tiffin box of just the right size for a school / college / office meal.The plastic components are limited to only the locking mechanism and thus only steel is in contact with your food.Compared to plastic lid stainless steel boxes or all plastic lock and lock boxes, the FOOD DOES NOT DEGENERATE and smell even till 5pm.Rugged build. Strong locks. One spare lock provided. DISHWASHER SAFE.Just be extra careful to align carefully before locking.Edit. 3 Months later. The plastic clips have held up well, and unlike the generic (Chinese origin) lunch boxes, the components hold up well and most importantly, do not stain or warp. I do hot wash the tiffin box in a dishwasher and occasionally hand scrub.
