Note the contradiction, right in the title: "Food grade" vs. "For Skin & Hair".I grew up with peppermint candies and love mint breath fresheners, and that's what I was after when I bought this. This doesn't taste toxic, and it does taste like something from the mint family, perhaps, but I can't say it tastes like peppermint.The only good thing I can say about this is that it's the closest thing to real (edible) peppermint oil I've been able to find here in India, at least so far.

The best thing about this product is that it is 100% natural and edible. I use the peppermint oil in my drinks and it really gives freshness sensation. It also cools down the heat in my stomach. I was initially concerned about the taste of this oil because I have used some peppermint oils before that have a bitter taste but this oil doesn't taste bitter and goes with any drink/food.
