Earlier I used Tech Oregnea garlic powder for flavouring my garlic bread. I found this to be better.. it doesn’t dry and solidify. But I would suggest stirring it in a proper airtight container after opening the packet. The original ziplock packet is not that great. And powder seems to deep through the lock..

I went on to purchase this after seeing all the positive reviews. Packing was poor and a lot of the powder spilled over into bubble wrap in transit. Coming to the powder... Tbh, I don't think it is that versatile of a garlic substitute. Reasons are,1) The powder is of roasted garlic (understandable, since raw garlic has its own oil, moisture that would make the product sticky). It is not dry garlic since I have dry garlic from Sangi's kitchen and they clump very frequently, but taste awesome.2) The aroma of the garlic powder isn't that satisfying in curries. However when added to butter, to make garlic bread. It gives an amazing flavor.3) The "ultra fine" texture of it ruins certain things when cooking, as it goes in the line of turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, etc. For example, remember how good, ground roasted cumin tastes in dishes as compared to readily available cumin powder? That kind of difference.4) Remember, industrial preparation of garlic powder, denatures a lot of the garlic's oils and reduces health benefits. So unless you are too caught up with work and can't use fresh garlic. I would suggest using dry garlic. They are available in form of small grinder mills in most supermarkets. I have one from Sangi's Kitchen.P.S. I did buy 900 gms of this garlic powder (bought at Rs 299) for using in ceremonies, as we have 3 back to back family gatherings.Also, I've posted a couple of pics of the dry garlic in grinder mill.
