This certainly doesn't TASTE like meat, it tastes sort of "slithery", and there's a sliiiiiiight bitter undertaste, probably because of preservatives, but that doesn't mean it tastes BAD at all, in fact it tastes quite good. At 275/- for this one box, it's obviously many more TIMES expensive than normal chicken, so we won't be having it everyday or anything, but...well, as much as we CAN. If we can save the lives of 2 chickens or 2 goats a month, even that is something. Please take it upon yourself to do the same. BUY it.

Advantages

paying Rs.250 for soy meat is useless. Better buy 1kg soy chunks for 150.Rs and use 50 gms per day in any curry of your choice. Better avoid this processed soy in heavy oil

I see a lot of reviews complain this is soya or why would anyone want to eat something vegan that tastes like meat but they are missing the point.If you ever ate or enjoyed the taste of meat but would like to go vegan for ANY reason, such as environmental, ethical, or religious, you may want to try this product. Overall, this product is good, it really does taste like meat. Except one thing - it's a little hard. You may want to cut it in small pieces before adding to any gravy or curry. The best test would be to make your non-vegetarian friends eat it and tell them it's chicken. I don't think most people can tell the difference and that is the first BASIC test for a plant-based mockmeat.I have eaten meat for the first 14 years of my life but I have been vegetarian for the last 25. Now I understand that the taste of meat is indeed something humans ENJOY.Is this a processed food? Duh of course, it is. Nothing in nature or a natural form is vegan and tastes like meat. Soya comes close. And most things are processed when they are bought on a site like Amazon.Do you have a problem with soya? Well, most of East Asia has been eating soya for centuries without any bad effects. If you think soya is harmful, surely it can't hurt you once in a while. For that matter, I don't think you should be eating any food everyday.

Natural meat is good for health. Why do we want to eat artificial meat. Better to go vegetarian if anyone choose not to harm any animals. This contents in long run is not good. Soya flour and vegetable oil is not healthy. Better to eat real meat which your body can digest.
