Well, if you have decided to go for niche products like these, then you just want to go for something considered "healthy" or - you actually have some health issues which necessitates the search for "healthy alternatives." Commercial cookies/crackers contain maida, sugar, preservatives etc, so we've been told, esp by youtubers, so we make a beeline for alternatives. So, if you have no/few alternatives to these alternatives, you have to consume whatever is available with promises of least harm. Swad/taste/flavor is something you learn to sacrifice/forego in such cases. These besan cookies - if you think they will taste anything like the mouth-watering besan laddoos you've had, then you're in for a big disappointment. For, in the assembling of "healthy food" the contributors to distinctive tastes - ghee, sugar etc - are avoided. Instead you get alternative sweeteners etc. Still, why must the hit to taste be so huge, I do not know. You need a prayer on your lips to tuck these kinds of cookies in, hoping, tasty nahin hai to chalega, I hope at least healthy to hai, mera sugar to spike nahin ho raha hai!
