We moved to bangalore one year backa and from there only did not get a chance to have a good soya chap, thanks for Silkrute in delivering chap at my door step. Taste is as usual, no smell, I got 10 soya sticks, very soft and fresh. Before use just soak it in water for few hours and then boil it for 5 mins and it's ready to be used this will remove all preservatives and other possible germs if any.Over all its a good product, price could have been better, but if you are a soya chap lover then should try is once.

Advantages

Loved it to the care, thanks to Silkrute for delivering it in Maharashtra. Being a Delhiite, I used to miss Soya Chap which I dont get here so I kept browsing Silkrute for it and finally found it. Its fluffy and fresh like any fresh soya chap we get from our nearby shops.All soya chap lovers, go for it.

Soft, succulent & good quantity. The protein to carb ratio is better than that of lentils so it's a better protein source for those trying to lose weight. It cooks through well, though I would suggest marination if it's going to be made in bigger pieces (as chaap generally is). The taste of course depends on the recipe & spices used, but I loved it. Will definitely be buying again!Also, would recommend it whether you're vegan, vegetarian or non-vegetarian!

Advantages

The packaging was fine, product was in good condition. People with lactose intolerance or allergies can eat it as substitute for paneer. Taste is good, can be made in different ways whether you boil it or fry it. Light on stomach too. However, it doesn't taste like the soya chaap that I have eaten at various vendors in Delhi, which was a disappointment. If you are looking for an alternative to chicken, then you will not like it much. May be storage in solution has that effect.

I had only used frozen chaaps so far, so this brine-preserved one was a first.So happy that I tried it. It's soft, easy to cook and great texture. Will buy this again...and again!

I was very happy with this product. Made vegan rogan josh with this. Same recipe as mutton rogan josh. Just substituted these chaaps for meat. Family loved it.I'm giving this four stars because I feel its overpriced. Otherwise a great product
