I have purchased brown sugar of another brand in the past, and it was so wonderful- it was fragrant, a rich dark brown and smelt and tasted like powdered jaggery. This one smells a little unpleasant and I wish the granules weren't this big. I'm definitely not buying this again.

It is not brown sugar. Experimented with it. Sugar crystals lose there colour when put it water. You can clearly see remaining white colour crystals.
